I cannot say enough how wonderful and professional the Ringer Center is. I received a DUI in a different state roughly 1.5yrs ago and had issues with an educator in a neighboring town that initially performed my DUI Assessment and educational classes. I was blown away when meeting with Mr. Ringer at how helpful and on top of things they all were. In comparison it is easy to see the staff is warm, welcoming, and non judgemental of their customers. Also, the classes are truly intended to help people recover and become sober. I must also say there were times when dealing with my probation officer (being in another state), the officer had confusion and Mr. Ringer offered to be part of a conference in hopes to eliminate confusion but to prevent issues of my probation. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and genuinely compassionate these people are.
Whomever hSh discraced or spoken poorly of this center needs to evaluate their own selves. I have been to many places snd this place meets all of my needs and then some. I appreciate that Steve and Don both understand others with addiction and know how not only to help, but still they also have many resources.
Overall I was happy with the help I received from the people that worked there. I am not comfortable giving the "Ringer Center" itself any credit for it though. Stephen Ringer should seek services himself as well as tutorials on how to speak to people and treat them after 4 years and losing health insurance. If your therapist still wants to see you, trust they know what their doing and find a way- longer everyone else there tried.
After more than two decades of struggling with spells of depression/anxiety, I was referred here by my doctor. Beth and Dr. Sena have helped me get back on track and in a healthier mental place. I am so grateful to have such a caring, invested team. However, I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before going here (my doctor's know me well and I trusted their recommendation)...the owner responses to the negative reviews are kind of off-putting and seem unprofessional. Don't let those come across as an indicator of the care you will receive from the counselors and psychiatrist.

This is the first place that I've been to in the last15 years that have made me understand what I'm going through this place really listen to you thanks so much so looking forward to working with you
Very accommodating. Friendly counselors who have struggled with mental illnesses just like the clients.
Wonderful, patient, and the staff is very respectful, and all my appointments I've never had to wait longer than 1 minute, i would recommend this facility to everyone! ! Thanks Mr. Ringer especially! !!

I want to set the record straight that Mr. Ringer is a wonderful man and is exactly the opposite of what the prior review reported. This person was in my group and she came to the group drunk so probably was also drunk when she wrote the review. Mr Ringer gave her many chances to get with the program so I want to correct the information about Mr. Ringer and The Ringer Center. They saved my life.
My experience was OK. I think Stephen is burnt out. He can be very condescending. I'm all for tough love in a situation like this but sometimes, he was just plain hurtful. The content of my IOP was great; very thorough with the disease concept, the obsession of the mind, the craving of the body and the fact that you're not a bad person because you've had a hard time quitting. That said, once you have the tools, you must use them and they are more than generous in giving you all the help you need in that regard. Don is great, Valerie is great and Sami is great as far as front desk staff. Dr. Sena has zero sense of humor and can be super condescending as well. You may want to consider Fellowship Hall instead but DO NOT DELAY in your decision.
The doctors and therapists are excellent providers. While I have had my share of differences with some of those who work in the practice (But never the clinicians, more towards the business aspect) they have helped me a lot and I thank them for that. My earlier review was a little harsh so I had to edited it. I highly recommend Dr. Carol Sena for stabilizing any mental conditions you suffer from. She is a well trained very experienced medical doctor in the field. The confusions from the miscommunication are just something that happens when you use the same provider for 13 years.
The quality of information, care & resources exceeded my expectations. Mr. Ringers professional and personal experience made a challenging situation much easier and provided me with support to reach my goal. Thank You, Bridget T
My overall experience with the Ringer Center has been great. The counselors and Dr. Sena have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. However, the professional staff needs to educate the front office staff as in the last month or so they have become increasingly rude and ill-mannered. This is a very disheartening trait for the front desk people to have as they are the first point of contact for the Ringer Center. I think it is important for them to realize and keep in mind the type of individuals they are servicing. If you are considering The Ringer Center please do not let the rudeness of the front office staff deter you from the other great professionals working there. Now, I must be fair and state that not all of the front desk individuals are impolite but I have never left a review for any place of business and felt the need to do so now because it is getting worse. Perhaps, the receptionists are over-worked or going through their own personal situations but it does not give them the right to make the patients feel worthless. I hope the owner or members of the staff are able to read this review and educate their employees.
I love this place! It is so inviting and the people at the front desk have become like family to me. I have been in counseling at other places in Greensboro and also in Los Angeles and The Ringer Center is my favorite. Mr. Ringer has helped me change my life and I owe alot to him and the other counselors here. I would and do recommend them to others. Any negative reviews seem to be written by possibly mentally unstable people who just needed someone or something to vent at. My experience is that if you are honestly seeking help they will do everything they can for you.
